Organic asparagus is a nutrient-packed source of vitamins, minerals and essential proteins. Asparagus is rich in vitamin A, vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B3 (niacin), vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), vitamin B6, folate, vitamin C, vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol), and vitamin K (phylloquinone).

The mineral treasures that are stored in asparagus include iron, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, manganese, zinc, selenium, and potassium.

Organic asparagus contains a very low amount of calories with no cholesterol and is low in sodium as well. Along with this, it is also a rich source of dietary fiber, which is essential for the body.

Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In a small bowl; stir in garlic and olive oil together.
  3. Gently press the garlic against the side of your bowl to release the juice. This will infuse your olive oil.
  4. Line a baking sheet with unbleached parchment paper.
  5. Arrange asparagus in a single layer.
  6. Pour olive oil mixture evenly over asparagus.
  7. Season asparagus with salt, cayenne pepper, and pepper.
  8. Roast for approximately 15 minutes or until tender.
  9. Remove from over; sprinkle Parmesan cheese over asparagus.
  10. Return to the oven for 1 minute.
  11. Arrange asparagus on a serving dish with lemon wedges.
  12. Enjoy!
