DIY Organic Makeup Remover Pads

We are sooo excited to share one of our brand new organic personal care recipes with you; DIY Organic Makeup Remover Pads!  We have been using organic unrefined coconut oil as our facial cleanser for quite some time.  We always follow up our facial cleansing routine by applying our homemade organic facial moisturizer.  Our brand new recipe actually gives you the benefits of cleansing, purifying, and moisturizing all in one step!  How exciting, right?!

Scrubbing your face with ineffective and harsh removers can do a lot more damage than good; especially near the sensitive eye area where the skin is thinner and more prone to fine lines and irritation.

As you probably know, we live a 100% organic lifestyle.  Your skin is the largest organ of the body; often, people forget that using anything other than pure organic products can not only damage the skin but also allow chemicals to enter your body.

We have incorporated one of our favorite and most versatile essential oils into this recipe; Lavender!

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) essential oil has a scent that’s a wonderful blend of fresh, floral, clean, and calm. It’s this dynamic aroma that has made the flower a classic for perfumes, soaps, fresheners, and beauty products. As one of our most popular products, Lavender oil is a great beginner oil and a must for every home.

Lavender essential oil isn’t just a favorite because of its classic scent—it’s also highly versatile. From skin care products to relaxing routines, this oil can infuse many areas of your life.

Of course we couldn’t leave our the benefits of organic coconut oil!  Organic coconut oil has a multitude of health benefits, which include but are not limited to skin care, hair care, improving digestion and immunity against a host of infections and diseases.

Organic coconut oil is excellent massage oil that acts as an effective moisturizer on all types of skin, including dry skin. Unlike mineral oil, there is no chance of having any adverse side effects on the skin from the application of coconut oil. Therefore, it is a safe solution for preventing dryness and flaking of skin. It also delays the appearance of wrinkles and sagging of skin, which normally accompany aging.

It helps in preventing degenerative diseases premature aging due to its well-known antioxidant properties. It also helps in treating various skin problems including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema and other skin infections. For that exact reason, coconut oil forms the base ingredient of various body care products like soaps, lotions, and creams that are used for skin care.
