We have been enjoying all of our favorite organic apple recipes with our homegrown organic apples!  Our favorite organic apple varieties are: Red Delicious, Granny Smith, and Honey Crisp.

If there was just one fruit that we could grow and enjoy all year long, it would be apples.  They are the perfect snack and you can make a multitude of recipes with them that are very healthy.

Making baked apple cinnamon chips is one of the ways that we can enjoy our apples all year long.  You will find that they are perfect for taking on-the-go, perfect for snack time, and perfect for your pre or post workout snack!

Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 200*F
  2. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl; set aside
  3. Add the sliced apples to a large bowl; then coat the apples with the cinnamon/sugar mixture
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; lay the apples flat on the pan. (You may need to use two pans so that they are not overlapping)
  5. Bake for 1 hour, then flip the apples over; bake for another 1-1.5 hours or until the chips are dry, yet still soft
  6. Allow to cool completely before placing them in an air tight container for up to 5 days.
