Happy Saturday Friends! We hope your morning has been a great one! It may be winter and cold outside, but we still love having our daily organic smoothies! Our daughters have so much fun adding the ingredients to the Vitamix and watching it blend! Yesterday, they asked for a mango banana smoothie with chia seeds. After we blended our smoothie, while we were getting ready to take a picture, they said don’t forget to share our recipe.
We go through a lot of fruit and vegetables in our house, so we make sure that we stock up our freezer during harvest time. It is hard work and time consuming to grow our own organic orchard, grape vineyard, and organic garden of Eden, but it is so worth it! Some fruits like Mangoes, we do not grow ourselves, so we purchase frozen organic mangoes from the grocery store. We have found that Kroger has the best deal on organic frozen mangoes.
Now for the recipe!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 C Organic Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 C Filtered Water
- 1/2 TBSP Organic Raw Honey
- 1 C Organic Frozen Mangoes
- 1 Organic Frozen Banana
- 1 TBSP Organic Chia Seeds
Method:
Add all ingredients to Vitamix or blender except for Chia seeds. Blend well, adding ice if you would like the smoothie thicker. Once blended, add chia seeds and pulse to stir. Pour your smoothie in your glass and enjoy!
