Fragrance:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Short term toxicity can include skin irritation, coughing, headaches, nausea, and rash. Long term toxicity can include heart disease, cancer, and reproductive issues. Up to 95% of fragrance is derived from petroleum. Not only is fragrance in your hair products, it is in scented candles, fragrance oils, perfumes, and lotions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Triclosan:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Topical absorption of Triclosan has shown disturbances in the endocrine system and is believed to cause birth defects and uncontrollable cell growth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Formaldehyde:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Is a known carcinogen and recognized as such by the Cancer Institute. Exposure can cause skin irritations, headaches, nausea, asthmatic response, and eye irritation. Unfortunately, this ingredient is not listed as ‘Formaldehyde’ on the ingredient list, it is normally hidden by words such as, Tosylamide, Melamine, Sodium hydroxymethane, sulfonate, and Bisphenol A are just to name a few. <\/span><\/p>\n

Pthalates:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Another endocrine disrupting chemical that in lab studies has shown to interfere with hormone production in rats and mimic estrogen in human studies. Bis phthalate, diethyl phthalate, di butyl phthalate, and butyl benzyl phthalate are just to name a few. They are found in skin moisturizers, fragrance, cleaners, nail polish, lotions, hair products, and plastic food packaging. <\/span><\/p>\n
