Organic Pumpkin Bread

‘Tis the season for filling our home with delicious organic baked goods and the sweet smell of Autumn!  Who doesn’t love the smell of homemade baked goods??!!  We love this time of year, there are so many homegrown goodies for us to bake with!  From organic winter squash, to pumpkins, to apples, raspberries, and concord grapes.

One of our fondest childhood memories is watching our mothers bake homemade goodies. Both of our mothers had a niche for baking. Sunday’s were a day of rest so on Saturday’s they filled our homes with the aroma of fresh baked bread and desserts. It is no surprise that Fall is both of our favorite season! The aroma that fills our home in the Fall also fills our hearts with the memories of our childhood.

Today, we wanted to introduce to you a very moist and delicious organic recipe that will soon become one of your favorites.  We have also added two surprise ingredients; Cinnamon Bark and Nutmeg Vitality Essential Oils!  Trust us when we say, the essential oils make your taste buds dance!

Scrumptious Organic Pumpkin Bread

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven to 325 degrees. Set your rack in the middle of the oven.
  2. Grease two 8×4 Loaf Pans and ightly dust with flour or line with Parchment Paper.
  3. In a medium bowl; combine all dry ingredients and whisk until well combined.
  4. In a mixer with the paddle attachment; beat the butter and sugar until it is just blended.
  5. Add your eggs one at a time, beat well after each egg.
  6. Continue beating your mixture until it is light and fluffy.
  7. Add your pumpkin puree to the mixing bowl and beat until just combined.
  8. Add your dry ingredient mixture to the mixing bowl; beat on low speed until combined.
  9. Turn the batter into your loaf pans splitting it evenly in half.
  10. Bake for 65-75 minutes or until a cake tester is inserted and comes out clean.
  11. Let the loaves cool in the pans.
  12. Turn out the loaves onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  13. Enjoy!

This recipe is very freezer friendly. We like to wrap our bread in parchment paper and then secure it in a bpa-free freezer bag. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before serving.
